Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Theatre/Scrub Nurse to join our surgical team at Avoca Clinic. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating theatre environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing the operating theatre and instruments for surgical procedures.
Scrub in and provide direct assistance to surgeons during operations.
Maintain strict sterile techniques and infection control practices.
Monitor patients’ conditions intraoperatively and respond to any emergencies.
Accurately handle and account for surgical instruments and materials.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless workflow and patient care.
Provide post-operative care and support as needed.
Requirements
Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with a valid NMBI registration.
Minimum of 2 years of theatre/scrub nursing experience.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrument handling.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
