Delivery Manager – Data & BI Projects

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery and governance of enterprise Data & Business Intelligence (BI) projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project governance, delivery oversight, stakeholder management, and executive reporting while ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology execution.
This role requires a strong leader with experience managing complex data transformation initiatives, driving cross-functional collaboration, and working closely with senior business and IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery and governance of Data & BI programs and projects.
- Drive project planning, execution, tracking, risk management, and successful delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate closely with Data Engineering, BI, Infrastructure, and Business teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Own project governance, status reporting, RAID management, and decision tracking across multiple initiatives.
- Prepare and present executive-level reports and dashboards to the IT Head and senior leadership.
- Actively participate in Steering Committee (SteerCo) meetings by presenting project updates, key risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and leadership.
- Ensure effective stakeholder communication and timely escalation of project issues and blockers.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies, governance processes, and operational efficiency.
- Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate project delivery, automate reporting, improve productivity, and enhance decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to organizational delivery standards, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in IT Delivery or Program Management, with significant experience managing Data & BI projects.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Analytics, or Data Platform initiatives.
- Strong project governance, PMO, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience presenting project updates to senior leadership and Steering Committees.
- Excellent decision-making, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and executive presentation skills.
Technical Exposure
Working knowledge of the following technologies is preferred:
- Oracle Database
- Cloudera
- MySQL
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Power BI
- Enterprise Data Warehousing
- Data Integration & ETL Ecosystem
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certifications are an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to improve delivery efficiency, reporting, documentation, and project execution.
