About The Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Front-End (UI/UX) Developer to join our dynamic team supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. This fully remote position involves developing an AI-powered Patient Health Data Summarization feature within the Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV), integrated through a Clinical Decision Support (CDS) widget. The primary focus of this role is to create intuitive, accessible, and responsive user interfaces that facilitate clinicians' decision-making processes by presenting AI-generated insights derived from extensive clinical documentation and health records. The developer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including product owners, UX designers, clinical experts, and technical engineers, to ensure the delivery of seamless healthcare applications that integrate smoothly into clinical workflows. This role requires a strong emphasis on transparency, source traceability, and usability of AI-driven clinical information, supporting the modernization efforts of federal healthcare systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience developing responsive web applications using modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards including WCAG and ARIA.
- Experience creating complex, data-intensive user interfaces and visualizations.
- Ability to translate technical and business requirements into user-centered designs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within Agile development teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces for healthcare applications, utilizing modern front-end frameworks and component-based architectures.
- Create data-rich visualizations and workflows that simplify complex clinical information to support clinician decision-making.
- Implement user interfaces supporting Clinical Decision Support workflows, including CDS cards, notifications, and patient-context-aware insights.
- Integrate front-end applications with backend services and clinical data sources, ensuring AI-generated summaries are presented with transparency and source traceability.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure application quality and usability standards.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to technical documentation, design specifications, and release materials.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including clinical subject matter experts and technical engineers, to deliver production-ready healthcare solutions.
- Support additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet project objectives and ensure success.
