About The Role
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Junior Freelance Video Editor to join our remote team, primarily focusing on longform YouTube content. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality videos that engage viewers and enhance audience retention. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for pacing, a solid understanding of audio editing, and the technical proficiency to seamlessly integrate multi-camera footage with screen recordings. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative professional looking to contribute to impactful content in a flexible, remote work environment. You will work closely with our content creators to ensure each video meets our quality standards and aligns with our brand voice.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Strong background in audio editing, dialogue cleanup, and audio balancing, preferably with experience as a music producer or familiarity with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs)
- Proven experience editing longform content specifically for YouTube
- Ability to synchronize and transition between 1-2 camera angles and screen recordings seamlessly
- Knowledge of storytelling techniques, pacing, and audience engagement strategies
- Basic understanding of 3D elements, text, or animation using Blender is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
Responsibilities
- Sync, cut, and transition between multiple camera angles and screen recordings to produce cohesive longform videos
- Enhance audio quality by cleaning dialogue, balancing sound levels, and adding scoring elements to maintain viewer engagement
- Edit raw footage into polished, compelling content tailored for YouTube audience retention
- Implement storytelling and pacing techniques to optimize viewer experience
- Collaborate with content creators to understand project goals and deliver videos that meet specifications
- Incorporate basic visual effects, text, or animations using Blender when required
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
- Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the editing process
