Staffing Specialist in North Charleston, SC

About the Role

MAU is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Staffing Specialist to support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and workforce management activities for our client accounts. In this role, you will partner with customers to fulfill hiring needs, build talent pipelines, support associate engagement, and ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management

- Recruit, screen, interview, and place candidates to meet client staffing requirements.

- Build and maintain candidate pipelines to ensure rapid response to open positions.

- Process and manage job orders while analyzing workforce needs and hiring priorities.

- Administer client-required assessments and screening processes.

- Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding to ensure a successful associate experience.

- Maintain candidate pools and workforce readiness through proactive recruiting strategies.

Employee Relations & Associate Support

- Supervise, coach, counsel, evaluate, and support temporary associates.

- Administer company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

- Process merit increases, tenure increases, and incentive programs.

- Assist associates with workplace concerns and employment-related questions.

- Manage workplace injury cases, including investigations, reporting, and workers' compensation documentation.

- Represent the organization at unemployment and workers' compensation hearings as needed.

Client Partnership & Customer Service

- Build strong relationships with client contacts through regular communication and site visits.

- Review workforce performance and staffing needs with customers.

- Support onboarding programs tailored to client requirements.

- Partner with leadership on pay and bill rate recommendations.

- Resolve invoicing concerns and support payment collection efforts when necessary.

- Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring staffing goals and service level expectations are met.

Qualifications

Required

- High School Diploma or GED.

- 1-3 years of recruiting, staffing, human resources, customer service, or workforce management experience.

- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.

Preferred

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent).

- Experience in staffing, manufacturing, or workforce solutions environments.

Work Environment

This position operates within both office and client-site environments, including manufacturing and industrial facilities. Conditions may vary from climate-controlled office settings to production environments and GMP cleanroom facilities. Regular interaction with associates and client leadership is required.
