Role Description The Software Engineer role at EgoTECHworld is a full-time, remote position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support the company’s IT products and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and testable code; implementing and maintaining back-end services and APIs; and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate technical and business requirements into robust software features. The Software Engineer will participate in code reviews, debug and resolve software issues, optimize application performance, and contribute to architectural decisions. The role also involves documenting technical designs, following secure coding practices, and continuously learning new tools and frameworks to improve the overall quality and reliability of the systems.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience in Software Development and Programming using modern languages and frameworks, with a focus on writing maintainable, scalable code.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including building and integrating APIs, working with databases, and managing server-side logic.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and best practices for modular, reusable, and testable code.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, or CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
