About The Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an entry-level Machine Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for producing masonry blocks according to specifications while maintaining consistent quality in line with the plant’s production schedule.
Shift Details
It is important to note that this position involves a rotating shift schedule.
- You will work one week on the day shift and the following week on the night shift.
- Day Shift: 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM (may extend to 12 hours and may include Saturday morning work)
- Night Shift: 2:00 PM to Midnight (may extend to 12 hours)
Flexibility in finishing hours is required as both day and night shifts can be extended to 12 hours based on business needs. Please apply only if you are comfortable with this rolling shift schedule, as it is a significant aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities
In This Position, Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Operating machinery to produce masonry blocks according to specifications
- Maintaining consistent quality in alignment with the production schedule
- Communicating effectively with team members to ensure efficient production
- Adhering to health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Excellent and clear communication skills to facilitate effective discussions within the team
- A mechanically minded background, preferably with experience in manufacturing
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn the basics of machine production, as well as other onsite processes over time, including block machine and loader operations
- A forklift license, which is an added advantage
- A high level of health and safety awareness to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and those around you
