Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate production-grade software applications and services.
- Architect and implement secure, scalable, high-performance backend and full-stack applications.
- Develop applications using technologies such as Go, Java, Node.js, and C#.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
- Build and integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
- Develop clean, efficient, maintainable, testable, and secure code following software engineering best practices.
- Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable services in cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, deployments, and releases.
- Implement monitoring, logging, telemetry, alerting, canary deployments, and other production reliability practices.
- Apply authentication, authorization, security, and compliance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Leverage generative AI and AI-assisted development tools to improve development productivity, automate coding tasks, and enhance software quality.
- Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and performance.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and other engineering teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Communicate architecture decisions, technical approaches, and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and continuously improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, engineering practices, and industry trends.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience building and operating production-grade full-stack applications in cloud environments such as AWS.
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with Go, Java, Node.js, or C#.
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing distributed architectures using microservices and/or serverless technologies across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- 3+ years of experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on experience setting up, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, application security, and secure software development practices.
- Experience using generative AI tools to accelerate software development, automate coding activities, and review or validate AI-generated code.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of software engineering experience, or 5+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
