We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Nutanix/VMware Administrator with strong experience supporting enterprise server, virtualization, storage, and infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Nutanix AHV, VMware, Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, storage, networking, backup/recovery, patching, and scripting.
The candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, excellent troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to support critical infrastructure in a highly operational environment.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Requirements
- Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems, including user administration, file systems, software, services, and system troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of server infrastructure and storage technologies, including various RAID configurations.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration, including domain backup/recovery and Group Policy (GPO) configuration.
- In-depth knowledge of Nutanix hypervisor migration best practices – Required.
- In-depth experience migrating VMware workloads to Nutanix AHV – Required.
- Hands-on experience with Nutanix cluster deployment and configuration – Required.
- Understanding of fundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting, including DHCP, DNS, routing, and firewalls.
- Working knowledge of security principles, ACLs, encryption, and infrastructure security best practices.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, KSH, or Perl.
- Ability to monitor system health and performance, analyze system statistics, identify bottlenecks, and perform optimization activities.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and backup/restore operations for systems, applications, and data.
- Experience with OS, hypervisor, hardware patching, and firmware installation/management.
- Knowledge of baselining and Industrial Defender – Preferred.
- Knowledge of dark-site/offline patching of Nutanix hypervisors, Nutanix components, and other hypervisor platforms – Preferred.
- Knowledge of NERC CIP compliance and its impact on data center infrastructure and operational best practices – Preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of IT infrastructure/support experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Nutanix and VMware virtualization environments.
- Strong server, storage, networking, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience creating technical documentation, solution documentation, procedures, and system designs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Willing and able to travel to various company-supported locations as required.
- Able to lift and transport server equipment when necessary.
- In possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation.
