🚨 Freelance Opportunity | Senior Legal Counsel – Privacy 🚨
We are currently supporting a client in the search for a Senior Legal Counsel – Privacy to join a leading digital marketplace and technology environment.
📍 Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
🏢 Working Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)
⏳ Contract Length: 6 months
🕒 Hours: 40 hours per week
💰 Rate: €138 per hour + VAT
📄 Engagement: Freelance / Independent Contractor
Key Focus Areas
✅ Privacy legal reviews for new product initiatives, including personalization features and AI applications
✅ Developing scalable privacy frameworks across multiple products and services
✅ Advising on GDPR legal bases for data processing and consent strategies
✅ Supporting tracking technology and consent compliance programmes
✅ Providing guidance on AI governance and privacy-related regulatory requirements
✅ Collaborating with product, technology and business stakeholders
Requirements
• 5+ years' experience within a top-tier law firm and/or major corporation
• Strong expertise in GDPR, privacy compliance and product counselling
• Knowledge of ePrivacy, DSA and AI Act regulations
• Experience working with consumer-facing technology products
• Legal qualification required; CIPP/E, CIPT or similar certification preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage complex stakeholder environments
