Brookwood is retained on a confidential basis to find a Chief Financial Officer for a profitable, venture-backed fintech in Dubai.
Location: Dubai, on-site (relocation supported for the right candidate)
This is an explicit player-coach mandate, not a manage-from-a-distance role. The successful candidate will set the strategic agenda — FP&A, capital allocation, board and investor reporting — while remaining genuinely hands-on with a lean team across day-to-day accounting, controls, treasury and month-end.

Strategic finance and planning Operational finance and accounting Fundraising and investor relations, with a major raise ahead Regulatory and compliance oversight across a regulated operating environment Building the finance function and team from the ground up Supporting new market entry, selective M&A and emerging growth initiatives
Candidate profile
A prior CFO, or a strong finance number-two (VP or Head of Finance) ready to step up A demonstrable fundraising track record, central to institutional rounds Comfort operating inside a regulated financial structure A genuine player-coach mindset, equally credible on strategy and execution Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Comfort with ambiguity and fast-changing environments
Advantageous: experience with Middle East regulators, a fintech or asset-backed investment platform background, and exposure to M&A or cross-border expansion.
This is a builder's role rather than a caretaker's. A meaningful equity package is on offer for a candidate who wants to grow the business as a peer, not simply manage the numbers from a distance.
