2. About the Opportunity:

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Evening Shift is responsible for maintaining the reliability and operational health of production systems hosted in AWS Commercial and AWS GovCloud environments. This role ensures infrastructure services meet availability, performance, and security standards, collaborating with platform engineers, security teams, and developers. The position plays a crucial role in driving infrastructure stability and supporting secure, scalable deployments.

3. Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain production infrastructure and applications with a focus on availability, performance, security, and health.

- Monitor service reliability using SLIs, SLOs, dashboards, alerts, and observability tools.

- Collaborate with application teams to define and implement observability requirements.

- Manage production incidents including troubleshooting, restoration, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

- Execute application and infrastructure releases through deployment pipelines.

- Manage operational lifecycle tasks such as upgrades, patching, and maintenance.

- Assess and improve service resilience through capacity planning and disaster recovery testing.

- Identify and mitigate reliability risks and technical debt using reliability metrics and incident data.

- Automate operational tasks using an everything-as-code approach.

- Work with platform and application teams to enhance reliability and operability.

4. Requirements:

- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

- Bachelor's Degree with 8 years, or High School diploma/equivalent with 12 years of relevant experience.

- 7+ years in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or production systems engineering.

- Experience operating in AWS Commercial and AWS GovCloud, including Kubernetes-based platforms like OpenShift (ROSA).

- Proficient with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.

- Experience with CI/CD platforms including GitLab and Jenkins.

- Strong Linux and Windows Server administration skills.

- Familiarity with enterprise observability tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, and Open Telemetry.

- Proven experience managing SLI/SLO programs and alerting systems.

- Scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Go.

- Experience in federal or regulated environments compliant with FISMA, FedRAMP, or NIST 800-53.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

- Target salary range: $104,000 to $166,000, dependent on experience, education, skills, and other factors.

- Eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
