We’re recruiting a Senior Network Security Specialist for a leading organisation operating within the enterprise cyber security space.
This is a senior, hands-on technical role for an experienced Network Security Engineer who can take ownership of complex security environments, architecture and deep technical troubleshooting.
You’ll work across NGFW, WAF, IPS, NDR and Zero Trust environments, while contributing to security architecture and mentoring more junior technical resources.
Strict requirements:
- 6+ years’ Network Security Engineering experience
- 5+ years’ hands-on experience deploying and managing enterprise NGFW platforms
- Strong hands-on expertise with Fortinet, Palo Alto and/or Check Point
- Fortinet NSE 7 – mandatory
- Fortinet NSE 6 WAF & FortiAuthenticator – mandatory
- Check Point Firewall or Palo Alto Firewall certification – mandatory
- Proven WAF experience, including OWASP Top 10 and custom rule development
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust / ZTNA
- Solid networking knowledge: BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, SD-WAN and TLS inspection
- Experience working with NIST / ISO 27001 or equivalent security frameworks
- Strong technical troubleshooting capability
The role will involve designing and maintaining Zero Trust architecture, deep troubleshooting of NGFW platforms, WAF optimisation, IPS/NDR management, micro-segmentation and involvement in security incident response.
