We are recruiting for an experienced Mine Technical Services Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across mine planning, geology, exploration, survey and rock/geotechnical engineering.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology or related field
- Valid Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency – essential
- 10–15 years’ mining industry experience (preferably precious metals)
- Significant Technical Services and Mine Planning experience
- Minimum 4–5 years at Senior Management level
- Experience in both open-pit/open-cast AND underground mining
- Strong Life-of-Mine, long-, medium- and short-term planning experience
- Strong knowledge of MHSA and mining compliance
- Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams
- Experience with mine planning/design software such as Whittle, Talpac, XPAC, Surpac, Minesight or Datamine
- Contractor, budget and cost-management experience
Key Responsibilities
Lead and optimise the Technical Services function, oversee mine planning and production performance, manage technical teams and contractors, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive safe, efficient and commercially sound mining operations.
