For our client, we are seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will drive the design and productionization of scalable machine learning and optimization solutions that support personalized care experiences. You will partner closely with data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders to improve model performance, streamline deployment, and strengthen the underlying ML platform. The work will focus on building reusable pipelines, robust tooling, and best practices that enable faster delivery of high-quality models across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $170,000 – $245,000 annually

Responsibilities

- Design, prototype, and productionize scalable machine learning and optimization models

- Establish best practices for machine learning and guide the development of the ML platform

- Develop frameworks and tools for processing large data sets for ML tasks

- Collaborate with data scientists to optimize data pipelines

- Gather requirements for machine learning models from product managers and stakeholders

- Create a model deployment platform for easy implementation of new models

- Build end-to-end reusable pipelines for data and model output delivery

- Mentor and guide junior professionals in deploying their models

- Design and construct ML engineering solutions to improve platform capabilities

Qualifications

- 6+ years of experience in machine learning

- Proven experience deploying machine learning models into production systems

- Strong expertise in deep learning, neural networks, and statistical modeling

- Extensive experience building personalization and recommendation systems

- Working knowledge of operations research concepts

- Familiarity with large language models and reinforcement learning

- Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals

- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL

- Excellent communication skills

- Experience developing data pipelines and ML libraries/tools

- Eagerness to learn new technologies

- Interest in mentoring junior engineers and data scientists
