For our client, we are seeking a System Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - OPAT/COpAT - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.
This role will help shape and standardize outpatient antimicrobial therapy services across care settings, with a focus on safe transitions, evidence-based practice, and effective monitoring. The specialist will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary clinical teams to improve antibiotic use, strengthen patient safety, and support quality outcomes. In addition, the position offers the opportunity to contribute to education, professional engagement, and clinical research within a remote work environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain evidence-based outpatient antimicrobial therapy services in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Standardize workflows and monitoring processes across care settings
- Ensure safe patient transitions for those receiving antimicrobial therapy after discharge
- Review and monitor outpatient antimicrobial management for effectiveness and safety
- Conduct quality evaluations and support improvement initiatives in antibiotic use
- Educate the healthcare team on best practices for outpatient antimicrobial therapy
Qualifications
- PharmD or Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required
- Active Kentucky and Indiana pharmacy licenses, or eligibility to obtain them within 6 months
- Board Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (BCIDP) certification, or ability to achieve it within 12 months
- Completion of a PGY-2 ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency in a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in clinical pharmacy with board certification
