About The Role
As a Software & Quality Engineer (m/w/d), you will play a crucial role in transforming unclear requirements into clean, technically sound solutions. Your expertise will ensure that new features are not only implemented but also stabilized and error-free through the use of modern, AI-supported development methodologies. You will focus on quality from the outset, proactively developing measures to maintain and improve the stability and robustness of our software products. Your work will directly impact our internal teams and enhance the experience of our customers in our online shops. Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with a completed vocational training as an IT specialist for application development or a university degree in computer science (B.Sc.). You should have more than three years of professional experience in software development, demonstrating proficiency in coding, testing, and deploying software solutions. Excellent to very good command of German (B2/C1) and conversational English (B1) is required. Practical experience with AI-supported development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in a production environment is essential. Analytical and critical thinking skills are vital, as is a keen eye for detail and a strong focus on quality. We value proactive, self-organized work habits where you see tasks through to completion, along with open and team-oriented communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Translate user requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications, asking targeted questions to clarify goals and approaches when necessary.
- Implement new features and fix reported bugs using modern, AI-assisted development tools, ensuring high standards of stability and reliability.
- Proactively develop quality assurance measures to safeguard the long-term stability and performance of our software products.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders from various departments to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
- Maintain thorough documentation of development processes and quality assurance activities to support continuous improvement.
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions to promote best practices and foster a culture of quality and innovation.
