Optimum Source, Inc. (OSI) is a growing organization committed to maintaining a secure, reliable, and efficient IT infrastructure to support our operations. We are looking for a hands-on Network and Security Engineer to join our IT team, covering both network security and VOIP/telephony systems.
Job Overview
The ideal candidate will manage and support our network security systems and VOIP telephony infrastructure, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, system security, and reliable communication channels across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the organization's network and system security infrastructure (firewalls, antivirus/endpoint protection, access controls, VPNs).
- Install, configure, and maintain VOIP systems, IP phones, PBX/softphone platforms, and related telephony hardware.
- Perform routine security audits and vulnerability checks to identify and address potential risks.
- Monitor VOIP call quality, troubleshoot call drops, latency, and connectivity issues, and coordinate with ISPs/telco providers as needed.
- Manage user access, permissions, and authentication protocols across systems and network resources.
- Set up, maintain, and monitor CCTV/access control systems where applicable.
- Respond to and resolve security incidents, network outages, and VOIP-related technical issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, security protocols, VOIP setups, and incident reports.
- Coordinate with IT team/management on system upgrades, patches, and infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company IT security policies and data protection practices.
- Provide basic end-user support and training on VOIP tools and security best practices.
- Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in network/security administration and VOIP systems support.
- Working knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, VOIP protocols (SIP), and network troubleshooting.
- Certifications are a plus but not required.
- Willing to work onsite in Ortigas, Pasig City.
Pay: Up to Php35,000.00 per month
