Tampa, FL | Temporary Contract | 40 Hours/Week | Monday–Friday

Schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some flexibility

Contract Period: October 5, 2026 – January 22, 2027

No Weekends | No On-Call Responsibilities

Position Overview

Empath Health is seeking a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator for a temporary contract assignment supporting the organization’s Organizational Development & Learning team.

This position will provide coverage for a current employee who will be on leave from October 31, 2026 through January 22, 2027. The selected candidate is expected to begin on October 5, 2026 to allow sufficient time for onboarding and shadowing prior to the leave period.

The LMS Administrator will play an important role in supporting learning and development initiatives across Empath Health. This position will be responsible for the technical administration, maintenance, content management, reporting, troubleshooting, and optimization of the organization’s Learning Management System.

The role will collaborate closely with facilitators, subject matter experts, department leaders, HRIS, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of learning experiences for both clinical and non-clinical colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the system administrator for the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS) database.

- Manage the technical administration and publishing of learning content through the LMS.

- Research, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate LMS-related technical issues as needed.

- Coordinate LMS projects across multiple departments and stakeholders.

- Analyze business and learning requirements to determine how the LMS can best support organizational processes.

- Create and manage groups, assignments, learning paths, and other LMS functionality.

- Oversee colleague learning paths to support organizational learning needs and regulatory requirements.

- Develop and maintain LMS reports related to training activity, compliance, and audit requirements.

- Design reliable LMS solutions to support business processes, reporting, and system functionality.

- Consult with department leaders and facilitators regarding LMS best practices and functionality.

- Coordinate the deployment of courseware and ensure appropriate LMS functionality is available to meet stakeholder requirements.

- Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams on LMS integrations, system enhancements, and emerging technologies.

- Ensure LMS projects and content are developed consistently with organizational design, language, and style standards.

- Stay current on trends in educational technology, LMS platforms, and learning techniques.

- Provide guidance and training to colleagues and team members on effective LMS utilization.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

- Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret system instructions and related documentation.

- Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and other professional communications.

- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively respond to questions from managers, staff, volunteers, vendors, and other stakeholders.

- Demonstrated ability to independently identify and resolve practical problems.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with persistence in identifying effective solutions.

- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.

- Strong planning, prioritization, organizational, and coordination skills.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience administering or working extensively with a Learning Management System (LMS).

- Experience implementing and supporting training programs through an LMS.

- Strong analytical skills and experience using learning or training data to generate reports and support decision-making.

- Experience with LearnUpon is highly preferred.

- Experience with Workday is preferred.

- Experience collaborating with HRIS and/or IT teams on system integrations and technology initiatives.

Education

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; OR

- One to two years of related experience and/or training; OR

- Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Assignment Details

- Temporary contract assignment

- 40 hours per week

- Monday–Friday

- 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

- Some flexibility with daily start and end times

- No weekend or on-call responsibilities

- Anticipated start date: October 5, 2026

- Temporary coverage through January 22, 2027

- Primary location: 5414 Beaumont Center Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33634

- Flexibility regarding work location within surrounding counties may be available

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, technically proficient, and solutions-oriented LMS professional who can quickly learn organizational systems and effectively manage competing priorities. Experience with LearnUpon and Workday is strongly encouraged.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that learning systems and content are delivered accurately, consistently, and on schedule.

Pay USD 29.91 Per Hour
