JOB TITLE: Lakeside Restaurant Management Internship
OVERVIEW: The Lakeside Restaurant Management Internship position is responsible for completing weekly inventory and maintain appropriate product levels, work closely with the Ship Store Manager and gas dock employees to coordinate their involvement with the Love Shack when needed, and prepare and serve drinks, sandwiches, snacks, and other food items. The Lakeside Restaurant Management Internship must be professional, maintain a positive attitude, and uphold Mau Marine’s mission.

Reports to: Marina Pro Shop Manager
Key Internal Relationships: Gas Dock & Retail Clerks, Marina Pro Shop Intern, Accounting Management

RESPONSIBILITIES

Take full ownership of the daily operation of the Love Shack.

Manage all aspects of opening, operating, and closing the location.

Complete weekly inventory and maintain appropriate product levels.

Handle ordering of food, beverages, and supplies.

Prepare and serve drinks, sandwiches, snacks, and other food items.

Ensure the Love Shack is clean, organized, stocked, and ready for guests.

Provide friendly, efficient, and welcoming customer service.

Work closely with the Ship Store Manager and gas dock employees to coordinate their involvement with the Love Shack when needed.

Monitor inventory and product usage to help control waste and costs.

Identify and address operational needs throughout the season.

Ensure food service and daily operations are handled safely and efficiently.

Take initiative to improve the guest experience and overall operation of the Love Shack.

Work Mau Marine special events as needed

Other duties as presented by management
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

Pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Management, or a related field

Must be ServSafe Certification or willing to obtain certification

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Detail-oriented and multi-tasking skills

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Maintains regular and punctual attendance. Works extended hours, outside of regular shift schedule, as required by operational needs

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members

Capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude
