About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps & Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Gurugram. In this role, you will own the end-to-end management of our Azure and Microsoft technology stack, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure, containers, data platforms, and security protocols. This position requires a proactive mindset, strong technical expertise, and a passion for automation and security best practices. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, continuous improvement, and adherence to industry standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong background in Azure services and security. Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-500, or CKA/CKS are preferred. Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, and Python, along with experience in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Bicep, is essential. Familiarity with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and AKS, as well as database management skills for relational and NoSQL databases, is required. A solid understanding of networking, security protocols, vulnerability management, and monitoring tools is also necessary. Candidates should demonstrate excellent documentation habits, ownership mentality, and the ability to handle production incidents calmly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design — Develop comprehensive cloud architecture diagrams covering network, compute, data, and security layers. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and evolve architecture as the platform scales.
- Azure Infrastructure — Manage virtual machines, virtual networks, security groups, application gateways, front-door services, and identity management through Entra ID and RBAC. Implement cost optimization strategies and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform or Bicep.
- Containers — Deploy, upgrade, and manage AKS and Container Apps. Build minimal, secure Docker images with integrated CVE scanning pipelines.
- Databases — Oversee relational databases such as Azure SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, focusing on schema design, query optimization, high availability, replication, and backup strategies. Manage NoSQL databases like MongoDB, ensuring data integrity and recovery readiness.
- Search & Log Store — Administer Elasticsearch or OpenSearch clusters, including index lifecycle management, shard sizing, snapshots, and cluster health monitoring. Maintain centralized logging solutions using ELK/EFK stacks where applicable.
- Data Platform — Manage Microsoft Fabric and OneLake environments, including workspace setup, capacity planning, access control, data pipelines, and governance.
- Business Application Integrations — Handle integrations with Dynamics 365 and ERP systems, managing API authentication, data synchronization, error handling, and environment refreshes.
- Secrets Management — Oversee Azure Key Vault, enforcing scheduled secret, key, and certificate rotations, ensuring no hardcoded credentials exist.
- Monitoring & Alerting — Implement comprehensive observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Grafana. Define SLIs/SLOs and configure alerts for immediate notification of anomalies.
- Log Governance — Establish and maintain log retention policies, ensuring compliance and proper archival for security and audit purposes.
- Security & Vulnerability Management — Conduct continuous vulnerability scans across servers, containers, and dependencies. Operate security tools like Defender for Cloud and Sentinel for threat detection and response.
- Network Security — Configure Azure DDoS Protection, WAF, and anti-crawling measures such as rate limiting, geo/IP filtering, and bot management.
- Patch & Backup Management — Keep all systems updated with the latest patches, perform emergency updates for critical CVEs, and implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies with regular testing.
- Automation & Documentation — Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Keep detailed records of scheduled jobs, SOPs, runbooks, and change logs to ensure operational transparency and continuity.
