Senior .NET Developer | Stockholm
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join long-term, business-critical assignments within the insurance sector. You’ll combine strong hands-on C#/.NET development with technical leadership, taking ownership of architecture, implementation and continued development.
You’ll work closely with clients and agile engineering teams, helping shape technical direction, mentor developers and build reliable, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and architecture across the full development lifecycle.
- Develop and scale applications using modern C# and .NET 8/.NET 10.
- Design event-driven and asynchronous solutions using AMQP messaging.
- Optimise hybrid data storage strategies, including distributed SQL and in-memory/document databases.
- Implement and leverage observability tools to support system reliability and performance.
- Drive technical discussions with clients and provide technical leadership within delivery teams.
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
Essential Skills
- 8–12 years of professional .NET/C# development experience.
- Strong expertise in modern .NET, including .NET 8 and/or .NET 10.
- Proven experience designing and scaling enterprise applications.
- Deep knowledge of hybrid data storage, including distributed SQL and high-performance JSON/document stores.
- Strong experience with event-driven architecture and AMQP messaging.
- Experience with observability/monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace or SolarWinds.
- Strong software architecture and technical leadership experience.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Comfortable working in agile, collaborative and client-facing environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience building robust and resilient REST API integrations with external services.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience with microservices and enterprise cloud architecture patterns.
- Previous experience mentoring developers or leading technical direction within an engineering team.
