About The Role
The Personal Assistant to the Chairman is a pivotal role designed to enhance the effectiveness of Mr. Jerry King-Echevarria, the Founder and Chairman of King Aerospace. This position is not a traditional administrative support role; instead, it functions as a highly trusted extension of the Chairman, managing a broad spectrum of personal, operational, and strategic responsibilities. The ideal candidate will exercise independent judgment, anticipate needs proactively, and operate with the utmost discretion and professionalism. Responsibilities include managing complex schedules, coordinating domestic and international travel, overseeing personal and estate matters, and supporting strategic initiatives. This role demands a high level of integrity, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly. The Personal Assistant will also facilitate Mr. King’s involvement in philanthropic activities, family commitments, and special events at his ranch and other locations, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with his priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting senior executives, project management, estate or household management, or private service roles.
- Proven ability to exercise high discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Experience making independent decisions on significant matters without direct supervision.
- Strong business acumen and experience working with C-suite executives.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact diplomatically with high-profile stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), email, cloud-based document management, and organizational tools.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in scheduling, budgeting, and expense management.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and resolve conflicts efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations or coordinating strategic projects is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Exercise independent judgment to assess and prioritize the Chairman’s commitments, redirect tasks, and manage his schedule proactively.
- Oversee a complex calendar balancing corporate meetings, personal appointments, travel, and family obligations.
- Coordinate seamless domestic and international travel arrangements, including private and commercial flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and visa/passport requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal executives, external partners, family members, and high-profile stakeholders, routing correspondence with discretion.
- Manage personal property, household staff, vendors, and estate-related tasks, including overseeing El Lobo Ranch operations and events.
- Plan and execute private events, dinners, family gatherings, and corporate functions at the ranch or other locations.
- Draft high-level correspondence, presentations, briefing materials, and decision-support documents for internal and external use.
- Assist with personal and business expense reports, invoice review, and liaising with accountants and vendors.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.
- Lead or support strategic projects, initiatives, and special assignments as directed by the Chairman, ensuring timely completion.
- Evaluate and resolve scheduling conflicts, ensuring the Chairman’s time is optimized for maximum impact.
- Review and facilitate approval of expenditures, contracts, and budgets related to the Chairman’s initiatives.
- Negotiate with vendors, service providers, and partners on behalf of the Chairman.
- Support company culture initiatives by coordinating messaging, leadership activities, and strategic communication efforts.
- Travel to current and future King Aerospace locations as needed, including occasional travel with the Chairman for meetings and conferences.
