Export Compliance Analyst (Contract)

Location: Cupertino, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $46.27/hour

Position Summary

The Export Compliance Analyst supports the company's global export compliance and sanctions program. This role is responsible for conducting denied party screenings, investigating sanctions-related alerts, performing due diligence on customers and vendors, and ensuring compliance with U.S. export control and sanctions regulations. The position requires strong analytical and investigative skills, experience with sanctions screening systems, and working knowledge of export compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform denied party and restricted party screenings across various company programs.

- Support export and sanctions compliance reviews for applications submitted to the App Store.

- Conduct export compliance due diligence reviews on vendors, suppliers, customers, and business partners.

- Investigate potential sanctions matches generated by screening systems and determine appropriate disposition.

- Review transactions and parties in accordance with established compliance procedures and service level agreements (SLAs).

- Escalate findings involving sanctions concerns, potential criminal activity, terrorist financing, or law enforcement matters.

- Conduct independent research using public records, commercial databases, third-party tools, and internal resources.

- Document investigative findings and prepare recommendations for compliance stakeholders.

- Support additional export compliance, trade compliance, and sanctions-related projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's degree in International Business, International Relations, International Trade, Law, or a related field.

- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience

- Minimum 3 years of export compliance experience.

- Experience investigating sanctions and export control risks involving individuals, companies, and transactions.

- Experience using SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) screening system.

- Experience conducting due diligence reviews and resolving sanctions screening alerts.

Regulatory Knowledge

- Working knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

- Working knowledge of OFAC sanctions regulations.

- Understanding of export controls, denied party screening, and sanctions compliance requirements.

Skills
