Digital Product Manager
Overview
The Digital Product Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, development, optimization, and performance of digital products and capabilities. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, UX leaders, and digital channel owners to deliver innovative customer experiences and drive digital transformation initiatives. The position uses customer insights, analytics, and market trends to influence product decisions, prioritize investments, and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Ownership
- Define, own, and execute the long-term strategy, roadmap, and growth plans for assigned digital products and capabilities.
- Manage and optimize the end-to-end customer journey for digital products.
- Identify opportunities to enhance customer experiences and close service gaps through data-driven solutions.
- Quantify product investments by developing lean business cases and communicating value propositions to stakeholders.
- Conduct post-release analysis to measure business impact and customer adoption.
Product Performance & Analytics
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, including:
- Product usage
- Customer engagement
- Sales performance
- Fraud trends
- Operational effectiveness
- Develop forecasts and provide insights on market trends and product evolution.
- Leverage customer and performance data to inform strategic decisions.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate across a matrixed organization including business leaders, technology teams, UX partners, digital channel owners, and operational stakeholders.
- Present product strategies, business cases, and performance updates to senior leadership.
- Lead and mentor team members while supporting career development initiatives.
- Assist senior management in evaluating technical skills and developing employee growth plans.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with digital products and capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with organizational risk management and regulatory requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships, including:
- Risk assessments
- Compliance requirements
- Vendor communications and requests
- Performance monitoring
Training & Product Adoption
- Support field training and communication efforts related to digital sales and service tools.
- Review marketing materials for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Ensure digital products are properly positioned and promoted to customers and internal stakeholders.
Industry & Market Awareness
- Stay informed on:
- Customer behavior trends
- Emerging digital technologies
- Competitive digital offerings
- Regulatory changes impacting digital banking
- Communicate industry insights to department and business leaders.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Option 1
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in:
- Digital Banking
- Digital Product Management
- Business Case Development
- Financial Services
OR
Option 2
- High School Diploma/GED and 11+ years of experience in:
- Digital Banking
- Digital Product Management
- Business Case Development
- Financial Services
- Business Analysis/Requirements Gathering
Technical Knowledge
- Familiarity with Agile and software development methodologies.
- Experience working in cross-functional product delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe Agilist Certification
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager Certification
- Experience with:
- Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
