2. About the Role
Jorie AI is seeking a Remote Python Engineer – RPA Developer to build, maintain, and optimize intelligent automation solutions for healthcare Revenue Cycle Management.
The role requires strong Python development experience, particularly with Selenium and OpenCV, along with an understanding of healthcare billing and RCM workflows. The ideal candidate will also have experience with AI/ML, OCR, healthcare APIs, EHR/EMR integrations, SQL, Azure, and cloud-based automation.
You will work closely with subject matter experts, operations teams, and technical stakeholders to convert manual healthcare workflows into secure, scalable, and reliable digital automation solutions.
3. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement, and maintain robust RPA solutions for healthcare RCM processes using Python, Selenium, and OpenCV.
Automate browser-based workflows including web scraping, form submissions, browser interactions, and data extraction.
Use OpenCV for image recognition, visual processing, and document-based automation workflows.
Apply AI/ML technologies such as OCR, NLP, and predictive analytics to enhance automation outcomes.
Integrate automation solutions with EHR/EMR systems, billing software, healthcare APIs, and web portals.
Automate complex RCM workflows including eligibility, insurance verification, claims processing, payments, collections, and denial management.
Build resilient automation workflows capable of working with both legacy systems and modern web platforms.
Develop Python-based ETL pipelines, clean and transform data, and support large-scale data processing.
Leverage Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Key Vault, Logic Apps, and App Services to support scalable automation.
Implement secure credential management, logging, monitoring, and audit trails in accordance with HIPAA and HITRUST requirements.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automation workflows for accuracy, reliability, performance, and efficiency.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation workflows and Python solutions.
Support automation solutions over the long term, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvements.
Follow DevOps and CI/CD practices to streamline deployments and improve infrastructure performance.
Collaborate with SMEs, operations teams, and technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate manual processes into automated solutions.
4. Required Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Python programming and scripting.
Strong knowledge of healthcare APIs.
Hands-on experience with Selenium for browser-based automation.
Experience with OpenCV for visual data processing and image recognition.
Experience applying AI/ML technologies, including OCR, NLP, or predictive modeling, to automation use cases.
Understanding of Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) workflows, including billing, coding, claims, payments, eligibility, and denial management.
Proven experience automating complex healthcare RCM workflows.
Experience integrating with third-party healthcare software, including EHR/EMR and billing systems.
Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data security best practices.
Knowledge of APIs and SQL databases.
Experience developing APIs or integrating with third-party APIs.
Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
5. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Azure and services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault, Azure Storage, or App Services.
Familiarity with RPA platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, or custom RPA frameworks.
Experience with Git and other version control tools.
Experience with logging, alerting, monitoring, or observability tools.
Familiarity with healthcare EHR/billing systems and healthcare web portals.
Experience automating RCM processes such as patient registration, insurance verification, claims processing, and payment collections.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to think strategically and solve complex workflow and data challenges.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
