- Implement and maintain project-specific Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection procedures and quality documentation.
- Oversee quality across CSA, MEP and critical power infrastructure, identifying potential issues before they impact commissioning or project turnover.
- Audit and oversee the General Contractor and trade partners’ QA/QC programs, ensuring inspections, testing and documentation are completed to the required standard.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), deficiencies and corrective actions, driving issues through to satisfactory closure.
- Witness key inspections, testing, hold points and material verification throughout construction.
- Maintain accurate project quality records including inspection reports, test results, certifications, material documentation and as-installed records.
- Support project turnover by ensuring QA/QC requirements, documentation and punch-list items are completed ahead of commissioning and handover.
- Partner closely with the Commissioning team to ensure installations are complete and compliant before progressing into functional testing and commissioning.
- Identify recurring quality issues, construction trends and lessons learned, helping improve quality standards across future data center developments.
- Provide an independent assessment of project quality and escalate significant risks or deficiencies to senior project leadership.
- Work collaboratively with Construction Managers, contractors and trade partners to create a strong culture of quality and accountability on site.
- Support and mentor project teams and delivery partners around quality expectations, inspection processes and documentation standards.
Experience Required:
- 10+ years of construction QA/QC experience, ideally within data centers, mission-critical facilities, large-scale industrial developments or other technically complex construction environments.
- Strong site-based experience overseeing quality on large, fast-paced construction projects.
- Previous data center/mission-critical construction experience
- Experience working for a developer/owner, General Contractor, commissioning provider
- Strong understanding of QA/QC processes across CSA and MEP scopes, including critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
- Experience developing and managing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), NCRs, corrective actions, inspections and turnover documentation.
- Good understanding of the relationship between construction quality and data center commissioning / L1–L5 activities.
