About The Role
We are seeking an organized, dependable, and professional Human Resources Coordinator to support the day-to-day HR functions within our organization. This role is vital in ensuring smooth HR operations, maintaining accurate employee records, facilitating onboarding and offboarding processes, and supporting recruiting efforts. The HR Coordinator will serve as a key point of contact for employees and management, helping to foster a positive work environment and uphold HR policies and procedures. Additionally, this position involves administrative support related to executive expense reporting, employee engagement initiatives, and general HR administration to support our organizational goals.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of Human Resources or HR administrative experience preferred
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems; Paylocity experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of onboarding, timekeeping, employee records management, recruiting, and general HR practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
- Ability to handle confidential employee, executive, and financial information with professionalism and discretion
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Must be able to work full-time, on-site at Sarma's San Antonio office
Responsibilities
- Serve as an approachable and professional point of contact for employees and routine HR questions
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding, orientation, and employee offboarding processes
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, schedules, and documentation within Paylocity
- Monitor timekeeping, attendance, missing punches, and make necessary timecard corrections
- Track employee leave documentation including vacation, sick leave, FMLA, and other leave types
- Assist with recruiting activities such as job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, preparing offer letters, and managing pre-employment requirements
- Coordinate and track employee performance reviews to ensure timely completion
- Prepare employee communications, notices, letters, and HR-related forms
- Support management with employee relations documentation and escalate sensitive matters appropriately
- Coordinate with Accounting, Payroll, and IT departments regarding new hires, employee changes, and separations
- Maintain required HR records, acknowledgments, and training documentation in compliance with company policies
- Assist Executive Management with expense reports, receipts, supporting documentation, and timely submission to Accounting
- Participate in organizing company events, employee activities, holiday celebrations, recognition programs, and other engagement initiatives
- Promote a positive, welcoming, and engaging company culture by encouraging employee participation in various activities
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by Executive Management based on organizational needs
