About The Role
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Backend Developer to join our dynamic team at Delivery Hero India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services that form the backbone of our delivery platform. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in backend development, with a strong foundation in Java and Spring Boot frameworks. You should have a solid understanding of design patterns, asynchronous data flows, and event-driven systems. Experience designing high availability, high scalability RESTful APIs is essential, along with proficiency in database management, including relational and NoSQL databases. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication in English are critical. Familiarity with Agile development practices, peer code reviews, and unit testing is required. Knowledge in mobile payments, e-commerce applications, or related domains will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Java and Spring Boot. You will collaborate with front-end teams, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that meet business needs. Implementing and managing databases securely, developing RESTful APIs, and ensuring high application performance are core tasks. Conducting code reviews, writing comprehensive unit tests, and maintaining technical documentation are vital to ensure code quality and maintainability. Troubleshooting and debugging applications to optimize performance, participating actively in agile development cycles, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives are also part of your role. Additionally, you will work on integrating caching, messaging, and search capabilities using tools like Redis and Elasticsearch, and deploy cloud-native solutions on platforms like Google Cloud Platform. Ensuring security best practices, monitoring application health, and collaborating across teams to deliver end-to-end features will be ongoing aspects of your responsibilities.
