About The Role
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team at XL Specialized Trailers. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing inventory, receiving and dispensing parts and supplies, and supporting the smooth operation of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment safely. The Warehouse Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production lines are stocked with the necessary materials, thereby supporting the company's overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred or ability to obtain).
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and record-keeping.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Prior experience in warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Receive merchandise by unloading vehicles, inspecting for damage, and verifying freight bills to ensure accuracy.
- Fill inventory requests by identifying requested items, pulling from stock, packing, labeling, and noting any back orders.
- Prepare orders for shipment by packing and labeling merchandise, coordinating with carriers, and arranging pickups as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through physical counts and reconciliation with inventory management systems.
- Notify the purchasing department when reordering is necessary based on stock levels and reorder points.
- Retrieve unused or excess supplies and equipment, ensuring proper re-entry into inventory systems.
- Support other departments by establishing routine deliveries of standard orders and anticipating supply needs.
- Maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment by cleaning, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, and reporting mechanical issues.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist team members to accomplish departmental goals and contribute to overall operational efficiency.
