# Team Lead QA Automation (m/w/d)
## About the Role
CGM is seeking a Team Lead QA Automation (m/w/d) to lead the QA Automation team for Turbomed and define the test automation strategy across unit, integration, system, stress, and performance testing. In this role, you will combine technical leadership with hands-on expertise to build scalable test frameworks, harnesses, and CI/CD pipelines while driving quality and delivery commitments in collaboration with Engineering and Product Management.
You will also advance AI-native test automation by using Claude Code and AI agents for test generation, maintenance, and triage. The role is ideal for an experienced QA Automation leader with strong technical credibility, a passion for developing senior engineers, and an interest in applying AI to modern software quality practices within the healthcare technology environment.
## Key Responsibilities
* Lead the QA Automation team for Turbomed with both technical and disciplinary responsibility.
* Define and implement the test automation strategy across:
* Unit testing
* Integration testing
* System testing
* Stress testing
* Performance testing
* Work with Engineering and Product Management to deliver on the team's quality and delivery commitments.
* Establish shift-left, automation-first, and risk-based testing approaches throughout the development process.
* Remain hands-on where valuable, particularly in designing scalable test frameworks, test harnesses, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Drive AI-native test automation using Claude Code and AI agents for test generation, maintenance, and triage.
* Establish reusable AI skills, workflows, and approaches for the wider QA team.
* Mentor QA Engineers and continuously raise the team's technical standards.
* Contribute expertise to the AIS DE QA community.
## Required Qualifications
* Demonstrated leadership experience in test automation.
* Strong technical credibility and the ability to develop and lead a senior QA team both professionally and personally.
* Strong experience with multi-layered test frameworks.
* Experience with CI/CD.
* Experience with load and performance testing.
* Strong programming skills in at least one language such as C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript.
* Demonstrated effective use of AI in a QA environment.
* Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
* Strong problem-solving skills, innovation, and proactive working style.
* Entrepreneurial mindset.

* A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable technical field, with strong academic performance.

* Experience with Claude Code or similar agentic AI tools.
* Experience working with AI agents, skills, and workflows for QA.
* Experience designing AI pipelines.
* Experience designing test harnesses.
* Experience with Context Engineering.
* Knowledge of the Turbomed technology stack, including Qt, .NET, MariaDB, and Gematik TI.
* Experience with security and penetration testing.

## Education & Experience
**Education:**
* University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable technical field.
* Strong academic performance is required.
* A Master's degree is preferred.

* Strong experience with multi-layered test frameworks, CI/CD, and load and performance testing.
* Demonstrated experience using AI in QA.
* Experience with AI agents, skills, workflows, AI pipelines, test harnesses, and Context Engineering is preferred where specified above.
* Turbomed stack and security/penetration-testing experience are preferred.
