## About the Role
The Data Engineer will support production data processes, troubleshoot issues reported by end users, and ensure data is successfully ingested, transformed, and distributed across systems. This is a remote position requiring off-hours and weekend support, with the schedule specified as **8:00 PM to 4:00 AM**.
## Key Responsibilities
* Analyze, troubleshoot, solve, and correct production issues in real time.
* Provide end-to-end problem resolution by identifying bugs and conducting root-cause analysis.
* Collaborate with internal development and operations teams to expedite issue resolution.
* Monitor production activities and processes to ensure timely reporting, tracking, follow-up, and communication of incidents.
* Identify opportunities to improve production processes.
* Develop scalable and reliable data solutions that move data across multiple systems and sources.
* Support both real-time and batch data processing.
* Design and develop database objects, including tables, stored procedures, and views.
* Design and develop ETL processes that transform raw data, flat files, and Excel spreadsheets into SQL databases.
* Create, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
* Research and learn new technologies to support continuous improvement.
* Perform ongoing analysis and process improvement.
* Collaborate effectively with customers, contractors, technical teams, end users, and management.
## Required Qualifications
* Experience in software engineering, ETL, data integration, or big data development.
* Experience with Python.

* Experience working with database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
* Understanding of big data concepts and technologies.
* Experience supporting data ingestion, transformation, and distribution processes.
