About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure IT systems that meet the rigorous standards of the defense industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative security solutions, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, experience with hardened systems, and a passion for working on mission-critical projects that contribute to national security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in IT security, preferably within defense or security sectors.
- Deep understanding of security protocols, encryption technologies, and network security architectures.
- Experience with secure hardware and software development, including embedded systems and hardened IT environments.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, ITAR, and GDPR.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement security measures for IT systems and infrastructure.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate security features into products and solutions.
- Monitor security alerts and respond promptly to security incidents or breaches.
- Participate in the development of secure software and hardware architectures tailored for defense applications.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on security best practices and emerging threats.
