Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil & Personal Injury Paralegal to support attorneys and manage litigation cases from intake through settlement or trial.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-suit/pre-claim investigations, including police reports, medical records, witness statements, and insurance information.
- Assist with legal research, case evaluation, liability, and damages strategy.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence while tracking court deadlines.
- Manage case files, pleading/discovery indexes, interrogatories, requests for production, and responses.
- Track medical records, bills, and liens, including Medicare/Medicaid and health insurance liens.
- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
- Prepare demand packages, damages summaries, exhibits, evidence, and trial/mediation materials.
- Calendar and monitor statutes of limitation, court dates, depositions, mediations, and other critical deadlines.
- Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy and organization.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of paralegal experience; strong preference for civil litigation and personal injury.
- Knowledge of Texas civil procedure, discovery, litigation timelines, motions, evidence, and court filing procedures.
- Hands-on personal injury experience with medical records, billing, liens, and demand preparation.
- Strong writing, communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with case management, document management, and e-filing platforms.
- Mac experience preferred.
- Paralegal certification or Associate Degree preferred.
