About the Role
Job Title: Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack (Web Core)
Location: Tempe, AZ, US — Remote
Team: Web Core
Reports to: Director, Engineering
This is a high-impact full-stack engineering role focused on building the core web platform that supports Greenlight's web experiences.
The engineer will work across both frontend and backend systems, translate mobile functionality into high-quality web experiences, develop scalable services, provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and help establish engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement web experiences with excellent UX.
Build and maintain frontend and backend services.
Translate mobile product features into web experiences.
Define technical strategy and engineering standards.
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership.
Manage technical debt and improve code quality.
Lead architectural improvements.
Build scalable REST APIs and backend services.
Improve system reliability, performance, and observability.
Work with modern testing, build, and CI/CD tools.
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
7+ years of software development experience.
Demonstrated technical leadership experience.
Deep expertise in React, Next.js, or Remix.
Strong backend development experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and/or Kotlin.
Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
Experience with modern build tools, testing, and CI/CD.

Requirements

Salary
The listed estimated base salary ranges are:
NY, CA, WA: $142,000–$210,000
CO: $142,000–$177,000
The total compensation package may also include a performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401(k) match, and other benefits.
