## About the Role

May Mobility is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to extract insights from large datasets, develop predictive and machine learning models, and drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role partners with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, solve complex problems, and optimize processes.

The successful candidate will bring strong analytical and statistical expertise, experience with machine learning, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role also includes mentoring team members and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

## Key Responsibilities

- Analyze, build, test, and implement statistical and machine learning models that extract meaningful insights from large datasets.

- Apply mathematical and statistical techniques to spatial and temporal data.

- Develop and implement advanced predictive models.

- Build data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for internal and external customers.

- Write efficient and maintainable code.

- Optimize code for scalability and performance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data science initiatives.

- Develop and optimize data pipelines.

## Required Qualifications

- B.S., M.S., or PhD degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

- 7+ years of experience in data science.

- 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as Python and frameworks such as PySpark.

- Experience working with large and complex datasets.

- Experience working with databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or SQL Server.

- Track record of writing optimized, scalable code.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.

- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on validation and accuracy of results.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience developing and optimizing data pipelines and ensuring data quality.

## Preferred Qualifications

- Background in robotics or a related field.

- Understanding of temporal and spatial data concepts.

- Experience or knowledge relevant to robotics-related data science applications.
