About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Construction Estimation Engineer to join our team and work on U.S.-based residential and commercial construction projects.
This position is ideal for freshers from Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related backgrounds who are interested in building a career in U.S. construction estimation.
The selected candidate will receive training and hands-on exposure to U.S. construction drawings, quantity takeoffs, material estimation, and project costing.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and interpret U.S. architectural and construction drawings.
* Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from construction plans.
* Prepare material quantities and assist in labor and material cost estimation.
* Prepare estimates for the following construction scopes:
* Roofing
* Siding
* Drywall
* Doors
* Windows
* Identify dimensions, areas, quantities, materials, and specifications from drawings.
* Prepare BOQs, takeoff sheets, and estimation spreadsheets.
* Assist in preparing project estimates and bid proposals.
* Review drawings and specifications to identify scope discrepancies or missing information.
* Research and update material pricing as required.
* Maintain accuracy and consistency in estimation documents.
* Learn and apply U.S. construction terminology, standards, and estimating practices.
* Coordinate with senior estimators and project teams to complete estimates within deadlines.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Freshers are welcome to apply.
* Basic understanding of construction materials and building methods.
* Ability to read and understand technical/construction drawings.
* Good understanding of measurements, dimensions, area calculations, and basic mathematics.
* Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a remote environment.
* Willingness to work according to U.S. project requirements and working hours, if applicable.

Experience or knowledge of the following will be an advantage but is not mandatory:
* AutoCAD
* Bluebeam Revu
* PlanSwift
* On-Screen Takeoff
* Quantity takeoff / BOQ preparation
* U.S. construction drawings and terminology
