Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Varanasi for an Ophthalmologist working in a self-employed capacity. Additional responsibilities may include managing practice operations, overseeing support staff, and engaging in patient education on eye health and preventive care.
Qualifications
- Valid medical degree (MBBS) with specialization in Ophthalmology (MS/MD or equivalent) and appropriate professional registration/licensure.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of ocular conditions, including cataracts, refractive errors, glaucoma, retinal disorders, and other common eye diseases.
- Proficiency in performing ophthalmic procedures and surgeries, using diagnostic equipment such as slit lamps, ophthalmoscopes, tonometers, and imaging devices.
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and support staff in a clear, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner.
