Role Description The AI Video Editor will manage end-to-end creation of AI-assisted video content, from concept development through final delivery, in a full-time, remote capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating video assets using AI tools, editing footage for clarity and impact, adding visual effects and motion graphics, and refining audio and visuals to meet client specifications. The role involves collaborating with clients to understand project goals, developing storyboards or prompts for generative models, and iterating quickly based on feedback. The AI Video Editor will also maintain organized project files, stay current with emerging AI video technologies, and help optimize workflows for efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- Ability to use AI-based video, image, and audio generation tools (e.g., generative video platforms, diffusion models, text-to-video solutions).
- Strong skills in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro) and basic motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
- Experience with storytelling, visual composition, and pacing to create engaging video narratives.
- Comfort with basic audio editing and sound design, including cleaning dialogue and integrating music or effects.
- Proficiency in managing remote projects, organizing assets, and meeting deadlines in a self-directed environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with clients and documenting workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new AI tools quickly and adapt to evolving technologies and best practices.
- Prior freelance, self-employed, or agency experience in video production or digital content creation is beneficial.
- Relevant education or training in film, media production, animation, design, computer science, or a related field is a plus, but equivalent practical experience is valued.
