Stelfox is partnering with a leading Dublin-based organisation to hire an experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a key technology team delivering critical enterprise applications and data solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior professional who enjoys working on large-scale systems, influencing technical design decisions, and driving the delivery of high-quality solutions in a collaborative Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Oracle database solutions and applications.
- Build and optimise complex PL/SQL components, integrations, and reusable frameworks.
- Contribute to technical architecture and solution design discussions.
- Perform code reviews and promote development best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional technology teams.
- Support the full software development lifecycle within an Agile environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and database issues.
- Drive continuous improvements across development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years' experience in software development within enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database Development and PL/SQL
- Excellent SQL tuning and database performance optimisation skills
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments with Shell Scripting
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and automated testing practices
- Experience with Oracle and related technologies including: PL/SQL, Informatica, Angular, Java, Spring Framework, Autosys
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and JIRA
- Experience integrating enterprise applications with third-party vendor platforms
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Proven experience leading technical initiatives and influencing solution design
