2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Software Engineer role centers on designing, building, and deploying enterprise-scale software and data engineering solutions. This position contributes by developing AI-powered data platforms and automated workflows within an agile cloud environment, driving innovation and scalability in data processing with a commitment to responsible technology use.
3. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions and automated frameworks addressing complex business challenges with responsible AI use
- Utilize enterprise-approved AI tools to automate data transformation and optimize data engineering pipelines
- Evaluate emerging technology trends to guide solution design and data engineering innovation
- Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines and big data infrastructure using Spark, Scala, Python, and Java
- Develop advanced SQL and T-SQL procedures, database schema, and automated validation rules in cloud environments
- Configure and optimize cloud database and data orchestration technologies including Azure SQL Database, Databricks, ADLS, and Azure Data Factory
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD DevOps pipelines and scripting automation using PowerShell and Linux Bash
- Perform performance tuning, code reviews, and automated testing on distributed big data platforms
4. Requirements:
- 5+ years in Software Engineering with focus on Data Engineering
- 5+ years experience with SQL, T-SQL, and ETL development
- 3+ years developing applications using Scala, Python, JSON, and Web Services
- 3+ years working with distributed systems such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, or Snowflake
- 2+ years Python development experience
- 2+ years developing with Java/J2EE, Web Services, Spring, and Hibernate
- 1+ years developing solutions hosted on public cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
- 1+ years experience in CI/CD and DevOps practices
- 1+ years experience with shell scripting and automation tools
- 1+ years experience with AI/ML-driven solutions
Preferred qualifications include a relevant bachelor's degree, experience integrating AI capabilities into data platforms, knowledge of responsible AI frameworks and cloud security, Agile/Scrum experience, and Azure certifications.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Salary ranges from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment
