2. About the Opportunity:
The Payroll Clerk plays a crucial role in a significant payroll systems migration and ongoing payroll support. This position ensures the accurate transfer and reconciliation of extensive payroll and tax data and maintains data integrity post-migration, supporting the payroll team with detailed data verification and organization.
3. Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end payroll systems migration by extracting and organizing multi-year payroll, tax, benefits, and retirement data.
- Coordinate with payroll system vendors and internal teams to confirm data formats, specifications, and migration timelines.
- Reconcile employee benefits and retirement plan data processed through payroll.
- Perform detailed comparisons across multiple payroll reports to ensure data accuracy.
- Develop and maintain Excel tools for payroll reconciliation and reporting.
- Identify discrepancies, escalate issues, and assist in building repeatable data migration processes.
- Provide ongoing payroll support including timesheet verification, calculation checks, and onboarding payroll data confirmation.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive payroll information.
4. Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and multi-report comparisons.
- Associate degree in accounting, business administration, or related field, or 1–2 years of relevant bookkeeping, accounting, or payroll experience.
- Basic understanding of payroll and accounting principles.
- Experience with ADP TotalSource and/or ADP Workforce Now preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong time management with ability to handle project workload and meet deadlines.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Base pay: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience (experience with ADP TotalSource/Workforce Now considered for top of range).
- Equity: Stock options.
