2. About the Opportunity:
The Payroll Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll accounting within the organization''s financial operations. This role supports financial reporting by maintaining payroll records, reconciling accounts, and collaborating with Accounting, Payroll, and HR teams. The position is critical for keeping payroll processes compliant and audit-ready, directly impacting financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
3. Responsibilities:
- Manage the payroll accounting cycle in Oracle, including posting to the general ledger weekly
- Perform monthly reconciliations of payroll, benefits, and Workers'' Compensation accounts
- Maintain proficiency in payroll and accounting software and optimize internal processes
- Prepare audit documentation for Workers'' Compensation, OSHA, and internal/external audits
- Collaborate with Accounting, Payroll, and Operations to resolve discrepancies
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Identify and implement process improvements
4. Requirements:
- Bachelor''s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of payroll and accounting experience
- Experience with Oracle Human Capital Management and/or Oracle Fusion ERP
- Construction accounting experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and experience with compliance and audit-related work
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 annually, based on the candidate''s primary home location and applicable geographic pay range
