Private Markets Domain Specialist (contractor, remote)

Rayify is hiring private markets experts for two jobs:

- Designing workflows across the investment lifecycle;

- Evaluating AI-generated outputs; documents, spreadsheets and slide decks for accuracy, rigour and domain quality.

The engagement is remote and hourly. You are paid from the first session.

About Rayify

Rayify builds Agentic AI workflows and decision intelligence systems for regulated financial services - insurance, credit and private markets - deployable on your own infrastructure, trained on your data, auditable for boards and regulators, and designed to keep outputs traceable and secure. We also run AI training and enablement for the financial institutions, from technical hands-on workshops to non-technical sessions for business teams, executive and board audiences.

What you'll do

Design the workflows

- Paid working sessions mapping out workflows across the investment lifecycle: the steps, decision points, checks, handoffs and failure modes.

- Co-design workflow specifications AI agents can be built, validated and tested against, covering inputs, outputs, escalation points and success metrics.

- Define new tasks that reflect how the work gets done in practice.

Evaluate the outputs

- Review and grade AI-generated investment work products against domain quality rubrics, spotting missing steps, thin reasoning, flawed assumptions, and answers.

- Write instruction specs and validated solutions: the reference deliverables that define what good looks like

- Design difficult investment analysis and valuation tasks and evaluation sets, and help develop finance-specific skills and tools with the research team

- Calibrate with researchers and specialists in adjacent fields to ensure consistency.

The workflows we cover include but are not limited:

- Deal origination and screening: sourcing logs, screening memos

- Due diligence: DD workplans, data room review, red-flag reports, expert call synthesis

- Investment committee: IC memos and committee packs, scenario and returns analysis

- Deal execution and closing: SPA and closing support, funds flow, completion checklists, completion accounts

- Value creation and portfolio company engagement: 100-day plans, board packs and reporting cycles, KPI packs, add-on M&A support

- Portfolio monitoring and valuations: quarterly monitoring packs, covenant tracking, and valuation memos

- Exits: exit readiness, sell-side preparation, IM drafting, vendor DD coordination, exit committee memos

- Secondaries and continuation vehicles: GP-led and LP-led processes, LP elections and communications

- LP reporting and fund operations: quarterly LP reports, capital calls and distributions, DDQs, fundraising materials, ESG and regulatory reporting, co-investment processes, track record and performance analytics

You do not need to cover all of these. Tell us where you have owned the work. This post covers fund-side private markets work, including LP-facing investor relations.

Who this suits

Must have

- Five or more years of hands-on private markets experience, where you owned the work yourself

- Direct ownership of at least one full cycle: a deal from screen to IC, or a quarterly valuation and reporting cycle

- Native or professional fluency in English

- The ability to turn a judgement call into written criteria an engineer or researcher can act on

Nice to have

- CFA, CAIA or an advanced degree (MBA, MS or higher)

- Hands-on use of LLMs in your professional work, and the judgement to tell a well-reasoned answer from a plausible-sounding wrong one

- Prior experience evaluating or training AI systems

You might be a deal professional, investment analyst, due diligence lead, valuations lead or portfolio monitoring specialist.

Assessment

Shortlisted applicants complete a short paid exercise drawn from mock materials. You might grade an AI-drafted IC memo against a rubric and write the feedback a committee chair would give, or specify one step of a workflow you have owned in enough detail to build against. It doubles as your first paid session.
