This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with plant operations and executive leadership, providing critical financial insight that drives profitability, efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
About the Role
We are seeking a commercially astute finance professional with strong manufacturing exposure, a passion for operational finance, and proven expertise in costing, inventory management, and business partnering.
Responsibilities
- Partner with plant and operational management to provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, operational reports, and performance analysis.
- Analyse manufacturing KPIs, production efficiencies, inventory performance, and key cost drivers.
- Monitor stock levels, wastage, fuel consumption, and factory expenditure against budgets and operational targets.
- Perform detailed variance analysis and provide actionable business recommendations.
- Drive costing accuracy and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvement.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
- Evaluate capital expenditure projects and prepare supporting business cases.
- Oversee month-end reporting, manufacturing provisions, and financial controls.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving profitability, productivity, and operational performance.
Qualifications
- BCom Honours in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CA(SA), CIMA, or similar professional qualification advantageous
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing or factory environment

- Strong experience in:
- Costing and profitability analysis
- Stock management and inventory control
- Manufacturing reporting and operational finance
- Advanced Excel skills
- Syspro ERP experience highly advantageous
- Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management capabilities
