Senior Software Engineer | Dublin | €743 per day | 12 Month Contract
I’m currently recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer opportunity with a major global technology organisation in Dublin.
This is a 12 month contract with an a view to extend working on secure, scalable, cloud native services and enterprise integration platforms.
The Role
You’ll be working hands on across Java backend development, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, enterprise databases and cloud technologies, with a particular focus on secure file transfer and B2B integration.
Key responsibilities include:
• Designing and developing Java and Spring Boot microservices
• Building scalable and secure REST APIs
• Developing integrations with enterprise platforms and managed file transfer solutions
• Working with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases
• Supporting IBM Sterling File Gateway and Sterling B2B Integrator
• Working with SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS, encryption and certificate management
• Developing automated unit, integration and acceptance testing
• Working with CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes
• Supporting AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
• Troubleshooting complex application, database, integration and platform issues
• Applying secure coding practices including OWASP, CWE and SEI CERT principles
• Contributing to technical design, documentation and continuous improvement
Key Requirements
The strongest candidates will have:
• Strong hands on Java backend development experience
• Deep experience with Spring and Spring Boot
• Strong microservices and REST API experience
• Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
• Docker and Kubernetes experience
• CI/CD and Jenkins experience
• Cloud experience across AWS and/or Azure
• Strong testing experience, ideally TDD/BDD
• Experience with enterprise integration, B2B or managed file transfer platforms
• Experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway, Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling Secure Proxy or similar technologies
• Knowledge of SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS, TLS, encryption and certificates
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
