Overview:
We are looking for an experienced AI Governance & Risk Expert to support a major Swiss bank in establishing and operationalising a bank-wide AI Governance Framework.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AI Governance, Risk & Compliance, regulatory frameworks and governance implementation within a regulated environment, ideally banking or financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Translate FINMA requirements, EU AI Act and internal governance requirements into practical policies, processes and controls
• Design and implement AI Governance, Risk & Compliance frameworks
• Assess and classify AI use cases/models according to risk
• Define AI-specific Technical & Organisational Measures (TOMs)
• Develop policies, guidelines, instructions and self-assessment templates
• Support the development of an AI inventory and its integration with IT system and model inventories
• Establish and operationalise the AI lifecycle process – GOVERN, MAP, MEASURE, MANAGE
• Define requirements for documentation, validation, monitoring, drift controls, human oversight and bias/fairness
• Conduct and moderate AI risk assessments with business, IT and governance stakeholders
• Support audit, reporting and regulatory compliance activities
• Work closely with Model Governance, Data Governance, Information Security, IT, Procurement, 3rd Party Risk and NFRM/IKS teams
Essential Requirements:
✅ 8–12+ years of professional experience in Governance, Risk, Compliance or a related field
✅ Proven experience designing or implementing GRC / Risk / Compliance frameworks in a regulated environment
✅ Strong understanding of AI Governance and AI Risk Management
✅ Experience translating regulatory requirements into policies, processes, controls and TOMs
✅ Experience with risk classification and risk assessment frameworks
✅ Experience creating policies, guidelines, instructions and self-assessment templates
✅ Knowledge of FINMA regulations and/or EU AI Act
✅ Experience in banking, financial services or another highly regulated environment
✅ Strong stakeholder management and moderation skills
