We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join a large-scale digital transformation project within the Singapore public sector.
You will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering secure, scalable and highly available applications used across a complex enterprise environment. This is a hands-on engineering role covering frontend and backend development, integrations, data migration, technical design and production reliability.
You will also contribute to engineering standards, architecture decisions and the mentoring of junior engineers.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop and deliver complex software features across multiple services and integrations.
- Build and maintain applications using Java and/or Python, ReactJS and RESTful APIs.
- Develop and support ETL and data migration solutions using AWS Glue.
- Design and work with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Evaluate technical approaches and contribute to solution architecture and design decisions.
- Produce clear technical specifications and design documentation.
- Build solutions with security, resiliency, performance, maintainability and supportability in mind.
- Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD, observability, monitoring and alerting.
- Identify and address technical debt to improve long-term platform maintainability.
- Lead incident triage, root cause analysis and post-incident reviews for areas under your ownership.
- Take ownership of projects from requirements and technical design through implementation and production support.
- Conduct code and architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Collaborate with product, UX, business stakeholders, solution providers and other engineering teams.
- Review AI-generated code and identify potential technical debt, antipatterns and security risks before merging.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and team productivity.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on software engineering / DevOps experience in Agile environments such as Scrum.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java OR Python.
- Strong hands-on experience with ReactJS.
- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Experience with ETL / AWS Glue, particularly for data migration.
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience delivering modern full-stack solutions across SaaS, bespoke and COTS platforms.
- Experience with Government Commercial Cloud (GCC), SHIP-HATS and Singapore Government Tech Stack (SGTS).
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, highly available production systems.
- Good understanding of security, data protection and privacy requirements.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring and observability.
- Strong troubleshooting and production support capabilities.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to take ownership of ambiguous requirements and drive work through to delivery.
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills.

- Previous experience delivering technology solutions within the Singapore public sector.
- Hands-on experience with Ivalua SaaS.
- Experience with large-scale procurement, finance or enterprise platforms.
