Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Deputy Manager for our Nursery to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Duties
- Assist the Nursery Manager in coordinating daily nursery activities and ensuring smooth operational flow
- Lead and motivate nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education
- Support staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a skilled team
- Oversee child safety protocols, hygiene standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Engage actively with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address concerns
- Organize educational activities that promote developmental milestones and creativity
- Ensure the nursery environment is welcoming, organized, and conducive to learning and play
Qualifications
- Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood education environments
- Strong understanding of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work culture
- Valid driving license preferred for operational flexibility
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent are highly desirable

Pay: £35,000.00-£49,355.46 per year
