Duties
- Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure excellent childcare delivery
- Oversee daily activities, ensuring they are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with early childhood education best practices
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and health and safety standards governing childcare facilities
- Build strong relationships with families, addressing their needs and fostering open communication about their children's progress
- Manage administrative tasks including staff scheduling, record keeping, and reporting to ensure smooth nursery operations
- Monitor the quality of care provided, implementing improvements to enhance children's development and well-being
- Promote a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous professional growth
Requirements
- Proven management and leadership experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting
- Extensive experience working with children, demonstrating a deep understanding of child development principles
- Strong knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety protocols, and early childhood curriculum standards
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies
- Valid driving license is preferred for transporting children or attending off-site activities as needed
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are highly desirable
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
